    Banknote Info

    Before the end of the World War 2, England government ordered Thomas de la Rue to print 1 baht banknotes to be circulated after Thailand was seized by the Allied. But the war was ended in August 1945. After the war, Thai government requested those banknotes to solve the banknote shortage. The banknotes were known as invasion notes.

    The additional text, signature and serial number were printed in Thailand. There were many types of printing blocks, some of them were different in text spelling.

    The 1 Baht (Invasion) banknotes were announced on 3rd June 1946.

    The main object is "ONE BAHT" on guilloche design under the Roman architrave.

    The main object is "1" on guilloche design surrounded by Thai words "one baht" and "1" at each corners.
