On the auspicious occasion of 70th anniversary celebration of HM. King Rama 9's accession to the throne in June 2016, Bank of Thailans issued the commemorative banknotes.

The banknote was designed on vertical format. The main object is the image of HM. King Rama 9 in the uniform of the supreme commander of the armed forces with the royal house of Chakri Dynasty gown.

The main object is the image of HM. King holding the sword of victory, standing in front of the Phutan Kanchanasinghat throne inside the royal grand palace.
