The printing of banknotes, 14th Series, was intended to draw attention to the benevolent deeds of the monarchs of the Chakri Dynasty in their contribution to the development of agriculture, science, religion and finance.
This 500 baht banknote reflects the royal activities of His Majesty King Rama 1 and King Rama 2. The banknotes were issued on April 3rd, 1996.

Front
The main color of the banknote is purple. The main object is the image of King Rama 9 in the uniform of the Supreme Commander.
Back
The main object is the image of monument of Their Majesties King Rama 1 and King Rama 2. The middle is the image of the emeral buddha temple. The right side is the Ramayana story.
